The Evanston Police Department invites the public to a presentation of the department’s new Police Dashboard. The Police Dashboard, available at cityofevanston.org/dashboard, was created to increase transparency and public awareness of the department’s activities and operations.
The Police Dashboard provides information on the following data sets:
- Police Activity
- Arrests, Field Contacts, Victims, and Offenders
- Traffic Stops, Citations, and Traffic Crashes
- Weapons Recovered
- FOIA Requests Processed
- Use of Force
- Part 1 Crimes
The presentation will be on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center in Room 2404. Pre-registration is requested. The presentation will include an informational introduction, a demonstration, and answering of questions.
The Police Dashboard is the result of a yearlong cooperative effort between the department and the City of Evanston’s Information Technology Division.
