Evanston’s 2019 Starlight Concert Series will feature nine free outdoor concerts at park locations throughout the city, June 4 through July 30.

Community members will enjoy a wide range of talented artists and musical genres, from Latin funk, to classic soul, to Southern rock, boogie and blues. The concert schedule is available at cityofevanston.org/starlight

Starlight concerts will take place on Tuesdays, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Interactive family activities will occur before each concert beginning at 6 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, concerts will take place at the Levy Senior Center, located at 300 Dodge Ave. The rain site for the June 18 concert is the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster St. Updates will be available after 4:30 p.m. on the show date by calling 847-448-4311 (until 6 p.m.) or by visiting cityofevanston.org/starlight.

The June 18 Starlight Concert at Twiggs Park will celebrate Juneteenth, a holiday commemorating the abolition of slavery. The July 16 concert at Brummel Park will include a Food Truck Festival, with food trucks featuring a variety of food and dessert options on site beginning at 5:30 p.m. Food trucks will also be available at the Bent Park concert on June 11 beginning at 6 p.m.

The Starlight Concert Series is presented by the City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department. Sponsors include Renewal by Anderson, RCN, Goldfish Swim School and Westminster Place.
