The Evanston Public Library’s July Board meeting will take place on July 17 at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster St. The meeting, to which all interested parties and residents are invited, begins at 6:30 pm.
The guest speaker will be Ron Dwyer-Voss of Depaul University’s Asset-Based Community Development Institute. He will speak about the Asset-Based Community Development movement that considers local assets and strengths as the primary building blocks of sustainable community development. In small group conversations, residents, trustees and Library staff will be asked to consider how to build upon existing strengths and improve sustainable Library services to all Evanston residents, especially those in Wards 5, 8, and 9.
Light refreshments and child supervision will be provided.
