As a part of the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding process, the City’s Community Development Department is conducting a Community Needs Assessment Survey.

The goal of the survey is to gather feedback from residents regarding Evanston’s housing and community development needs, particularly for low- and moderate- income residents. This feedback will help inform the development of the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan and guide the use of funding.

The 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan is the City’s primary vehicle for identifying and prioritizing housing, community development and economic needs and strategies, as a part of the funding process for Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnership, and Emergency Solutions Grant programs.

Residents are encouraged to complete the survey between July 15 and August 25. The survey is available in English at cityofevanston.org/needs and in Spanish at cityofevanston.org/necesidades.
