On Aug. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. the Main-Dempster Mile will celebrate the end of summer with a free concert.
The concert is open to the public and admission is free, but donations collected at the entrance will be split with the Main-Dempster Mile’s 2019 Charity Partner, Rainbows For All Children.
Music of all different genres will be played throughout the night. Ex Maquina!, Chip Ratliff & The Dirty Blu Crue, The Rolling Clones and Chicken Bone will all be playing during the event.
Different food and beverage vendors will also be on site. The Wine Goddess, La Principal, Firehouse Grill, YoFresh Yogurt Cafe, Sketchbook Brewing Company and Laird Farms will be selling throughout the night.
In addition, Laird Farms will be bringing a baby goat petting pen and Kratos Strength Systems will be putting on Strongman Demonstations. There will also be an art show put on by the JJ’s List / Search, Inc. Visibility Arts Program, giveaways at the door and raffle tickets on sale for Evanston Wine Walk raffle prizes.
The main entrance gate will be located at 801 Dempster St., near The Mexican Shop. The music and activities will be on Sherman Avenue between Dempster and Greenwood streets.
