The District 65 School Board is conducting a search for a new Superintendent for the District who will start in the 2020-2021 school year. As part of this effort, BWP & Associates, the District’s search consultants, is gathering information to prepare a draft of a Superintendent profile which will be presented to the School Board, which will put the profile in final form. The Superintendent profile will be used by BWP to select candidates to present to the School Board and that the Board will use in selecting a Superintendent.

Community members may present their views  by attending a community forum that will be facilitated by BWP on Sept. 12, 7-8 p.m., and King Arts Auditorium, 2424 Lake Street in Evanston. The forum is open to everyone in the community.

In addition, anyone may complete a survey that is available online at District 65.net between Sept. 3 through Sept. 15. The survey asks people to identify the three most important strengths and the three most important issues facing the District, and the three most important skills and the three most important characteristics they would like to see in the new Superintendent. It also asks people to rank how important certain types of experiences are to the role of a Superintendent. There is also room for open ended responses.

The survey may be accessed through District 65.net, or through the link provided below. Hard copies of the survey are available at all District 65 schools, Evanston Public Library (Main Branch), Levy Center, Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, and at the Joseph E. Hill Education Center. Hard copies must be dropped off at one of these locations by Friday, September 13, at 2 p.
