For one day, Main Street between Chicago and Wesley avenues became a mile-long public park for all to enjoy.
The theme for Evanston Streets Alive! + Green Living Festival 2019 was “Open Streets, Open Community.”
Evanstonians and visitors had an opportunity to walk, bike, play and be inspired to live a healthier, greener life at this fun, free community-driven project.
Organized by the City of Evanston in partnership with Citizen’s Greener Evanston and the Evanston Environmental Association, the event aims to promote health, environmental awareness, arts and culture, and local pride.
