Tree recycling: City crews will pick up Christmas trees Dec. 30 through Jan. 31 on residents’ normal refuse collection day. Please place trees on the parkway, in between the sidewalk and curb, and remove all lights and decorations. Do not place trees in plastic bags, as this can damage the equipment used to turn trees into mulch.
Light recycling: String lighting and extension cords can be dropped off for recycling at the Levy Senior Center, 300 dodge Ave.; Evanston Public Library,1703 Orrington Ave.; and Evanston Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd., through Jan.y 31.
