The Evanston Public Library will hold discussions for the History, Keepinit Real and African American Literature book groups in early January at the Main Library, 1703 Orrington Ave.
The Science Fiction and Fantasy Book Group Science Fiction & Fantasy Book Group will ring in 2020 from 7 to 9 p.m. on Jan. 8 at The Celtic Knot, 626 Church St. Readers are encouraged to bring titles of books they would like to recommend to other group members – and enjoy some food and drinks.
History Book Discussion Group reads “The Darkening Age: The Christian Destruction of the Classical World” by Catherine Nixey from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 6.
Keepinit Real Non-Fiction Book Group reads “Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness” by Susannah Cahalan from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 7.
African-American Literature Discussion Group reads “Go Tell It On The Mountain” by James Baldwin from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 8.
