The Evanston City Council will hold a Special Meeting tonight, Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m.
As the result of an executive order issued by Governor J.B. Pritzker on Monday suspending in-person attendance requirements for public meetings due to COVID-19, some elected officials and City staff will be participating in the meeting remotely. The City will be implementing social distancing measures for those in attendance. Any attendees will be limited to the antechamber.
Due to public health concerns, residents will not be able to provide public comment in-person at the meeting. Those wishing to make public comments may register at cityofevanston.org/march17meeting to participate in the meeting virtually. Those registered will be able to dial into the meeting at 1-415-655-0052 using access code 740-143-987, and will be able to hear audio of the meeting, view the agenda, and submit public comment.
Community members may also watch the City Council meeting online at cityofevanston.org/channel16 or on Cable Channel 16.
The meeting agenda and packet can be found at cityofevanston.org/citycouncil. For questions, residents may call/text 847-448-4311, or dial 311 in Evanston.
