First Evanston-Related Death of COVID 19

The RoundTable learned this morning that the Chicago man who attended services at the Unitarian Church in Evanston and was later diagnosed with COVID-19 has died. This is the first-Evanston-related death that we are aware of. The RoundTable staff expresses their sympathy to the family.

The number of confirmed cases of Evanston residents having COVID-19 grew to 30 as of 3 p.m. today, March 22, according to information provided by the City of Evanston. The accompanying chart shows the trend starting on March 19. The first confirmed case of an Evanston resident was reported on March 13.

The RoundTable expresses thanks and support for the many health care workers, other public safety personnel and others who are on the front line in caring for Evanston residents and many others.
