In March, North End Mothers’ Club President Pam Swales presented Karen Singer, President and CEO of the YWCA Evanston/North Shore, with a check for $10,000 to help underwrite the Children’s Reading Space in the YWCA’s new facility. The funds were raised by NEMC membership’s in just a matter of weeks to secure the club naming rights for the space. The YWCA was thrilled to have the century-old club’s commitment and partnership in its future facility.
“I’ve been saying for the last two years that the NEMC is a small but mighty group of women who can accomplish anything we put our minds to,” said NEMC President Pam Swales. “Thank you to all who made a donation to help NEMC secure the naming rights for the Children’s Reading Space in the future YWCA facility. We did it!”
