The Evanston Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at 6:50 p.m. on April 27. Evanston Police Officers responded to the 1900 block Asbury Avenue, after receiving multiple calls that a subject had been shot in the chest. When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old male victim who had been shot in the left side of his chest. 

Officers and Detectives learned that the victim was shot while he was standing on the sidewalk. It is believed that the shots were fired from a white vehicle traveling north on Asbury. The victim was transported to Evanston Hospital and is in stable condition and is expected to recover from his injuries. Currently, there are no suspects in custody.
