Downtown Evanston is hosting a raffle to support local businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic. Now through May 30, everyone is invited to purchase $10 tickets for a chance to win $2,250 in gift cards from local shops! The two lucky winners will be announced at 6 p.m. on May 30.
All ticket sales will be donated to Northwestern’s LEND Evanston, an organization that provides zero-interest loans to small businesses. Downtown Evanston raised $13,700 from the Evanston T-Shirt Fundraiser, which will also be distributed by LEND Evanston. Any amount of support is appreciated during this time, as most shops, salons and service providers have been closed since mid-March.
“As the business non-profit organization supporting Evanston’s downtown business community, we thought we would start a raffle that will not only help the business community but will be fun for residents and supporters of local businesses!” said Annie Coakley, Executive Director. “Plus, Downtown Evanston is purchasing the gift cards from local businesses, which provides financial support as well.”
To purchase a raffle ticket, visit go.rallyup.com/keepevanstonawesome by May 30. The raffle site will automatically pick two winners. Ticket buyers are listed in the system for as many tickets they purchase. Please share with your networks to encourage others to support Evanston’s small businesses.
