The virtual Fourth of July parade will kick off at 2 p.m. on July 4.

Due to COVID-19, the Evanston Fourth of July Association decided to replace its traditional 4th of July activities with an alternative virtual celebration.

11 a.m., Show: Behind the Scenes of the 4th Celebration & Parade

2 p.m. Virtual Parade:  Previous parade highlights, public submissions, special guests

8 p.m., Show: Virtual Band Concert & Fireworks Show

Winners will be announced during the evening program. Prizes will be awarded in gift cards from local businesses.

Decorating Lawn Chairs

Residents can celebrate the yearly tradition of displaying lawn chairs, only this time it will be on their front lawn July 1-4. Suggested themes are 4th of July, sports, art and music…get creative. Lawn chairs will also be displayed on Central Street.
