On July 23, 2020, at 1:16 a.m. Evanston Police responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Howard Street. When officers arrived, they located the victim lying on the ground near the CTA Red Line Station. Chicago Fire Department Paramedics attempted to treat the victim, but he was deceased. Evanston Police have identified the victim as Brian Carrion, 20, of Glenview.
A second victim, a 21- year-old male Evanston resident, suffered a graze wound to the head. He was transported to Saint Francis Hospital where he was treated and released.
Detectives from the Evanston Police Department and NORTAF Major Crimes Task Force are investigating. There are no suspects custody at this time.
