The beloved voices of the Evanston Children’s Choir will ring out again this year in a virtual holiday concert to be released on Dec. 19.

ECC Director Gary Geiger described how singers in isolation can come together as a virtual choir:  “Singers learn their parts to their songs in rehearsals throughout the semester, and at some point each singer records herself or himself singing their part to a set accompaniment track.

“All individual tracks are then layered together by a sound technician and – voila – you have a “virtual choir.”

Mr. Geiger said all the singers will be seen in a video collage, and the concert will be released  online via social media, including the Children’s Choir website.
