Public Services Bureau Chief Edgar Cano issued the following weather update on Feb. 11:

“We are currently seeing lake effect snow that could bring 1 to 1.2 inches of accumulation between now and 4 a.m. tomorrow, Feb. 12.  A clipper system will make its way into Evanston around 4 or 5 p.m. that may bring an additional inch of accumulation. Total accumulation expected for Evanston is between 1.5 to 2.5 inches.

“Crews are currently on patrol plowing and spreading as needed.

“We have a high chance of snow every day from Friday through Tuesday. Daily updates will be sent as needed.”
