Ariella Abraham, 10, of the Lincoln Elementary School Girl Scout Troop, took action after she saw a video in her class about homeless and hungry people. She talked to her parents about what she could do about hunger here in Evanston.
Ariella said, “I decided to ask people to help. Neighbors, other Girl Scouts in my troop, and some families from Lincoln contributed food, toiletries and other supplies. I think it’s great that other people think it’s important, too. I hope that others see this and are also inspired to help. This shows that kids like me can make a difference and be leaders.”
