Mather, now celebrating its 80th anniversary as a not-for-profit organization, is pleased to announce it was honored from the Great Place to Work Institute for the second consecutive year with certification as a Great Place to Work for its team members’ experiences on the job.

The Great Place to Work Institute considered employee surveys from Mather locations across three states. It evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experiences, including employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning.

Among Mather’s results:

  • 95% of employees think Mather is a physically safe place to work
  • 92% felt they were made to feel welcome when joining the organization
  • 90% are proud to tell others they work at Mather
  • 90% say Mather has special and unique benefits

“Mather’s mission of creating Ways to Age Well extends to the benefits, programs, and support we provide to our team members,” said Mather CEO and President Mary Leary. “We are proud to have been recognized for our employee’s job satisfaction and personal fulfillment.” Mather also ranked 33rd in Great Place to Work’s Best Workplaces in Chicago (for small and medium businesses). Great Place to Work, an independent research and consulting firm, is a global authority on high-trust, high-performance workplace cultures.
