Public Services Bureau Chief Edgar Cano issued the following weather update for March 15:

“A weather system is approaching which may bring a mix of precipitation in the form of rain/sleet/snow. It is expected to reach Evanston by early afternoon. Snow accumulation totals are expected to be less than 1 inch for grassy surfaces and 0.25 in. on pavement. Wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph expected.

“Staff is on alert and ready to respond to the event as needed.”
