ETHS Students Earn 2021 Latin Exam Recognition

Evanston Township High School students participated in the 2021 National Latin Exam, with 43 of the 57 participating students earning awards. The 40-question exam, taken by level, was completed by more than 88,000 Latin students worldwide.

ETHS students earned Summa Cum Laude (gold medal), Maxima Cum Laude (silver medal), Magna Cum Laude, and Cum Laude recognition at various levels. Here are the results:

1 Latin

Gold Summa Cum Laude: Foster Pratt

Silver Maxima Cum Laude: Sydney Chow, Elizabeth Quail, Charlotte Murray, Nathan Peterson

Magna Cum Laude: Madeline Andreotti, Ruby Fairman, Elizabeth Klein, Grace Rich

Cum Laude: Maddelena Rauscher, Kara Taylor, Laney Taylor

2 Latin

Gold Summa Cum Laude: Daniel Durango-Cohen, Anna Frederick, Nicholas Ghate, Luca Zerega

Silver Maxima Cum Laude: William Comess, Elijah DeMarte, Thomas Hughes

Magna Cum Laude: Caroline Klearman, Niamh Lucas, Zoltan Moran, Henry Stewart

Cum Laude: Bennett Gottesman, Louisa Stringer, Sabin Taylor

3 Latin

Gold Summa Cum Laude: Francesco Cirulli, Jacob DiCrescenzo, Marquita Landrum, Mitchell Nakamoto, Max Smith, Cooper Stringer

Silver Maxima Cum Laude: Sophie Maram, Maeve Schanou, Sofia Louise Williams
