Evanston Made is hosting a series of art events this week, starting with “Apparel & Accessories” night at Downtown Evanston Thursday Night Market, which will be held at Fountain Square from 3-8 pm. The event will feature a variety of vendors, including Marti De Boer, The Ready Gen and Ayla’s Originals.

The Evanston Art Center Saturday will host the Group Show on Saturday, with 175 works of art in all medium at all prices.

Also on Saturday, the Maker’s Market will showcase hundreds of handmade goods from over 50 vendors. Walk-ins are welcome.

In addition to the Group Show and Maker’s Market, openings, open studios and art sales will be featured across Evanston.

Evanston Made has picked Cécile Tretini as its “resident installation artist”.  Ms. Tretini’s works include a snow maze in Winter Wonderland, a sand labyrinth on Earth Day and a window installation in the EAC for the Group Show. She says, “my main drive is curiosity: many of my pieces start with the question ‘what if?’“.
