Our “Land of the Free and Home of the Brave” was built upon the lands and bodies of vanquished Native Americans, the backs of enslaved African Americans, and the labors of Asian and Latin Americans, often denied true citizenship.

We must own this. Then, we must mourn this. Only then will be able to achieve our true Manifest Destiny, a nation with liberty, justice and happiness for all.
