Evanston Community Foundation announces two new members to its Board of Directors

The Evanston Community Foundation today announced the addition of two new board members to its Board of Directors, Laura-Min Proctor and Minya Nance. The nonprofit’s all-volunteer board are selected for demonstrating a high level of commitment to the Evanston community and personal involvement in community engagement. The board provides governance over strategic planning, policy and responsibly steward over $30 million in assets.

Sol Anderson, ECF CEO and President said, “Our community is at a defining moment. The Foundation’s new strategic direction of racial justice and racial equity allows us an opportunity to lead in a way that reflects our mission, to build a more equitable Evanston. To do that, we are making sure that the decision makers at the Foundation appropriately reflect our community. Both Laura-Min and Minya bring a wealth of experience and expertise and will be a tremendous asset to the ECF Board.”

ECF extends gratitude to Diana Cohen, previous Board Chair and active board member, for her many years of exemplary leadership service to the Foundation.  She will continue on as emeritus director. For a full listing of the board click here.
