Evanston Township High School is sponsoring a virtual Family Action Network discussion,“’Run: Book One’ – A Conversation with Andrew Aydin,” on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
The event, which will begin at 7 p.m. on Zoom, is free and open to the public, suitable for ages 12 and up. Registration is required. FAN is conducting a random drawing to give away 500 copies of ‘Run: Book One’ to those who attend.
In Run: Book One, the highly anticipated sequel to the National Book Award-winning March trilogy, the late Representative John Lewis and longtime collaborator Andrew Aydin continue where the March trilogy left off to tell an often-overlooked chapter of civil rights history.
The graphic novel is illustrated by Nate Powell, the award-winning illustrator of the March trilogy, and debut comic artist L. Fury.
Aydin, the former digital director and policy advisor in Congressman Lewis’ office, will be in conversation with Saeed Jones, author of the memoir “How We Fight for Our Lives.”
The event will be recorded and available later on FAN’s website and YouTube channel. A bonus after-hours event is also available to webinar attendees. For more information, visit www.familyactionnetwork.net.
