RoundTable adopts diversity, equity and inclusion statement

The Evanston RoundTable has adopted a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) statement that will be a core part of our evolution and growth.

The RoundTable is committed to building a diverse leadership team, and a staff of editors and reporters who reflect our community; to including voices that have been unheard or marginalized; and to promoting honest – even if uncomfortable – dialogue among ourselves and within the community.

“Our writers and editors recognize that DEI work is an ongoing process, not a short-term project,” said a statement released by the RoundTable board. “But we felt it was important to spell out a vision for growth as we move along, and to be as transparent as possible about our progress.”
