Lake Street Church of Evanston’s Rummage Sale, “Repurposing for a Purpose,” will be held October 8th and 9th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thrift vintage and unique finds, with a purpose of promoting environmental sustainability. Featuring vintage treasures, including jewelry, furniture and lamps, framed artwork, clothing, books, linens, rugs, toys, sporting goods, housewares and appliances.
Enter at the 1450 Chicago Ave. courtyard entrance. Masks and social distancing are required, with safe protocols in place to limit numbers in all shopping areas. Cash, Venmo and credit cards (Square, w/fee) are accepted. Public parking is available on nearby streets and surrounding Raymond Park or at nearby self-parks: Sherman Plaza (Davis/Benson), Church (Church/Chicago) and 1800 Maple. CTA Purple line to Dempster or Davis or Metra line to Davis.
Lake Street Church is a diverse and inclusive spiritual community, committed to sustaining the planet for future generations, as well as to spiritual growth and social justice. Beyond the environmental goal of “Repurpose for a Purpose,” sale proceeds will benefit those in need of emergency funds and organizations housed under their roof, including Hilda’s Place, Connections for the Homeless’s transitional housing shelter since 1984 and North Shore Alano.
