The spirits are stirring. The nights are growing longer. The Harley Clarke Mansion is buzzing with phantasmic vibrations. This October, Artists Book House will resurrect its Halloween fundraiser “A House, Haunted.”
Please join Artists Book House during October for a monthlong series, “A House, Haunted,” which includes a transformation of the Harley Clarke Mansion into an eerie outdoor installation for the entire community to enjoy.
Every night in October, Harley Clarke will be lit up from sunset until 10 p.m., featuring artwork in the windows that can be seen from the street. Community members are encouraged to drive by to view this special and spooky work of art.
On Oct. 2, Artists Book House will be at Evanston Made Maker’s Market as the month’s featured nonprofit. It will be selling Artists Book House tees and totes, used books and a special edition 2021 “A House, Haunted” screen-printed poster.
On Oct. 7, Artists Book House will have a table at the Downtown Evanston Thursday Night Market at Fountain Square. In addition to a large selection of used books, it will have tees and totes as well as the special edition 2021 “A House, Haunted” screen-printed poster.
All proceeds from both community events will support efforts to renovate and restore the Harley Clarke Mansion.
