The Illinois Secretary of State will host Super Senior Day and Mobile Driver Services at the Levy Senior Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8.
Rules of the Road
10 a.m. to noon
A review of the current traffic laws and the information that is needed to obtain a new or renew a driver’s license. This is an in-person seminar. Registration is required. Call 847-448-8250
Vision Screening
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Vision screenings are available for anyone renewing a driver’s license within 90 days of the date of the program. After passing the screening, individuals will be given a certificate that will enable them to bypass the vision screening when renewing their license
Mobile Drivers Facility
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A person can obtain a new or renew an Illinois ID card, renew a driver’s license (must be under 75 years old; no road test given), and register to vote. There is a fee for license and ID cards.
To apply for or renew a driver’s license, acceptable identification is required to verify name, date of birth, Illinois residence, social security number and signature. To apply for an Illinois ID card, individuals must present a birth certificate, social security card and proof of address. For more information call 1-800-252-2904. This program is open to all Illinois residents, regardless of age. Masks are required. No REAL ID.
