Lily Consiglio captured the 100-yard butterfly championship and paced Evanston’s girls swimming and diving team to a third-place finish Saturday at the Central Suburban League South division meet held at Glenbrook South.
With a winning time of 56.53 seconds, the Evanston Township High School senior breezed to the butterfly title Oct. 30 and just missed the division record of 56.20 set last year by Greta Pelzek of New Trier. Consiglio also added a third place in the 100 freestyle in 52.98.
The Wildkits also received a boost from another senior, Jenna Wild. She raced to a runner-up finish in the 200 freestyle in a season best time of 1:57.06, and came back to earn third in the 500 freestyle in 5:18.84, another season best.
Also scoring top-five individual finishes were sophomore Abby Romisher, fifth in the 500 freestyle in 5:23.08, and senior Cate Seward, fourth in the 200 individual medley in 2:14.25.
New Trier repeated as team champion with 468 points, ahead of Glenbrook North (323), Evanston (259), Glenbrook South (155), Maine South (143) and Niles West (47).
