Evanston residents gathered at Fountain Square on Sunday to attend a Community Lament Rally, after a jury acquitted Kyle Rittenhouse of intentional homicide, reckless homicide, attempted intentional homicide and reckless endangerment. 


Family and friends of Dana Grote Teeter, an Evanston resident who passed away five weeks ago, gathered at the lakefront for a brisk, two-mile walk to celebrate Dana’s life.

The Woman’s Club of Evanston Holiday Bazaar hosted local artists, who sold paintings, jewelry, hot sauce and more.


Santa for a Day, a charity which serves disadvantaged children during the holidays, now features its own pop-up location in Evanston, at 710 Church Street. The charity’s founder Richard Gentile, Mayor Biss and other community members celebrated the opening of the pop-up with a ribbon-cutting on November 19
