On Monday, November 29, to celebrate Cyber Monday, Downtown Evanston launched a Holiday Gift Card BOGO (Buy-One-Get-One). The first 100 people to purchase a gift card of $25 or more will receive a $10 bonus gift card for themselves (limit to 2 bonus gift cards per person). The bonus gift cards are sponsored by Northwestern University.

The Evanston Gift Card is a community-based, digital gift card that makes it fun and easy to keep local spending local. When you purchase an Evanston Gift Card, the recipient can use it at any of the 60 plus participating businesses in Evanston. All-digital and always available on your phone, the Evanston Gift Card is great for holidays, birthdays, teacher and gifts or just to show your appreciation to a friend.

“We are grateful to Northwestern University for sponsoring the BOGO deal to help drive more gift card sales this holiday season and ultimately support local businesses. The Evanston Gift Card is perfect for that hard-to-shop-for family member or friend, encourages the recipient to think local first, and cycles dollars back into the local community,” said Annie Coakley, Director of Downtown Evanston.

Downtown Evanston launched the Evanston Gift Card in May 2021 with community partners to help create a pool of cash that local businesses in Evanston can rely on. By supporting local businesses, more money continues circulating through the local community.

If you’re looking for a way to do some good or want to know how you can help the community you love, purchase an Evanston Gift Card today! For more information or to participate as a merchant in the program, please contact Downtown Evanston at lbrown@downtownevanston.org.
