The Evanston/Skokie School District 65 Board of Education will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Monday, December 13 at the Joseph E. Hill Education Center, 1500 McDaniel Avenue. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment on the District’s proposal to allow for up to two Full-Day School Improvement Days per school year for a maximum of five years. This proposal would require a modification of the Illinois School Code 105 ILCS 5/10-19.05.
A full-day School Improvement Day is a non-attendance day for all students and a regular day of attendance for District 65 staff. Educators, staff, parents/guardians, students and members of the public are invited to attend and offer input at the public hearing.
