Bob Kimmerle met friends for an early morning breakfast, and was photographed crossing Raymond Park on his way home. Bob, who is 83, uses the cane he bought for his wife, Anita, who died more than two years ago. He didn’t use the cane until last year. “I had to show my independence,” he said. But now he relies on it. “It gives you a little more confidence. Especially in the wind.” (Photo by Richard Cahan)
Love this pic of my old friend Bob! Looking good!
Shortly before adopting Anita’s cane, Bob was occasionally spotted running across the street, catching the break in traffic. No longer jaywalking, Bob’s mind is still agile and he’s quick to smile and offer encouragement to others. Very nice man.
