The Evanston Arts Council has selected five social service providers to receive arts residencies through the City’s Community Resiliency Through the Arts Fund.
The new, one-time program is made possible through the 2021 Northwestern Good Neighbor Racial Equity Fund, and intends to improve quality of life and amplify voices in underserved communities by pairing local artists with social service organizations.
After an open call for applications and a formal review process, the organizations selected to receive Community Resilience Through the Arts grants are:
- Center for Independent Futures
- Connections for the Homeless
- Curt’s Café
- Evanston Latinos
- Youth & Opportunity United (Y.O.U.)
Open call for artists and arts organizations

Selected artists and arts organizations will be matched with social service organizations and will receive grants of $10,000 each. The program will commence in spring 2022.
