“I’m really excited about our first group of residents, all of our ancestors that were able to participate and submit their applications.
“I’m especially excited about the first 16 who are about to receive their award. We are hoping through this process and with the funds that are available that they will be able to increase the value of their homes. As well, we will learn some lessons on what to do for the remaining group.
“I think for the rest of the town, and anyone who would watch, I’m excited that not only have we continued as a town to be progressive and lead the way in so many areas, it’s a special feeling that we are leading the way in terms of repairing the harm to our community.”
