Teammates: Eighty-eight-year-old Edwina Dennis (left) and eighty-year-old Melinda Kwedar take the court at the Robert Crown Community Center. Dennis, 5’10”, picked up a basketball for the first time at age 70. “I’m a facilitator. I can pass and I can cut – if it’s necessary.” Kwedar, 5’3”, played basketball in high school. “It’s the highlight of my life these days.” They come out once or twice a week.
