The Noyes Cultural Arts Center presents “Visible/Invisible,” a juried exhibit that highlights ways in which silence is used as a tool of violence.

Multi-disciplinary works are on display from a wide range of artists who were asked to consider violence that is often made visible and gains widespread public attention and violence that is invisible and often remains excluded. From sculpture to painting to audio submissions, more than 50 participating artists address this difficult topic that is so pervasive in our culture.

This exhibit and programs are sponsored in part by a grant made available by the Evanston Arts Council.

The exhibit will be on display Friday, Feb. 4 through Friday, March 18 at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center’s second floor gallery, 927 Noyes St.

● Opening Reception, 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4
● Community Conversation, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3
● Hands on Family Community activity with Kids Create Change, 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5
