Fans bundle up to watch Northwestern’s first baseball game of the season at Miller Park, just north of Welsh-Ryan Arena. Lisa McGill and Jay Readey came to support their son, freshman pitcher Chad Readey. The couple has already been to Birmingham, Alabama; Santa Clara, California; and Cincinnati to cheer on the team. “We want to be part of the ride,” says Jay. The Wildcats won both games of the doubleheader. Nineteen home games to go: next one is Saturday. (Photo by Richard Cahan)
