The Evanston Wilmette Golf Course Association announced recently that KemperSports was selected to manage the Canal Shores Golf Course.

The new partnership calls for elevating every facet of the Canal Shores operation, including improved playability and new pathways for local kids to experience and benefit from the game of golf.

Longtime Evanstonian Omar Brown sat down recently with Josh Lesnik, president of KemperSports, to talk about the new relationship and what they hope it will mean for Evanston. Omar is senior vice president of people and culture for the Big Ten Conference.

  1. I hope they will continue with the restoration of the banks of the river, where much has been accomplished, but a significant amount of invasive brush and dead tree removal remains.
