Evanston resident Barbara Belcore uses the community fridge and food pantry at 1335 Dodge Ave. She brought cans of fruit and vegetables to donate and took gluten-free pasta and a corn tortilla. Evanston has four free pantries – with refrigerators for perishable goods and shelves for non-perishables. “You can bring food here and know that somebody else is going to make good use of it,” she said.
