  1. Horton left the room when a Haven teacher who had been hospitalized, was speaking at the Board meeting

  2. I read a great deal about how the leadership has handled the situations at Haven Middle school, but nothing about dealing with the real cause of the current violence between students/teachers/ and staff. The pandemic has uncovered multiple issues with the access and treatment for mental health issues among teens and of course has clearly increased the need. I hope that the administration of Haven and Dist 65 provide the resources needed to help the kids and adults who are struggling at all the schools. This is a community issue, not just a school issue. Mental health providers must be involved in any solution to help make our schools and community safer.
