Evanston’s girls tracked down five wins Saturday and earned a fifth place finish overall at the rain-plagued Palatine Relays invitational meet.
The Wildkits scored 38 points in their final competitive tuneup before hosting the Central Suburban League South division meet on Thursday.
The Kits, already the fastest team in the state in the 1600-meter relay, lowered their time to 3 minutes, 56.77 seconds Saturday behind the foursome of Abrielle Artley, Dystonae Clark, Kai Strickland and Maidison Hardamon.
