It’s Mother’s Day this Sunday and I’m hoping the sun will come out long enough to take my mom for a walk along the lakefront. Or perhaps we’ll join The Evanston History Center for its 47th annual Mother’s Day House Walk featuring the Oakton Historic District. If viewing historical homes is not your cup of tea, there are plenty of other things to check out around town this weekend.

Bird Watching at Canal Shores
Grab your binoculars and take a guided bird watching walk through Canal Shores Golf Course, every Sunday through May, weather permitting.
