The Evanston Sounds Good Choir will present its first in-person concert since the pandemic lockdown this Friday, May 13, at 12:15 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Evanston, 1427 Chicago Ave. The concert is free. All attendees must provide proof of vaccination and wear masks.
The Sounds Good Choir is a community chorus for older adults, including those with early-stage memory loss. Friday’s concert features a mix of pop, folk and spiritual offerings, and will kick off, appropriately, with the Turtles’ 1967 hit, “Happy Together.” The program also includes Aaron Copland’s arrangement of “Zion’s Walls,” the beloved Charles Tinley hymn “The Storm is Passing Over,” and Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Trouble Water.”
