The Evanston In-School Music Association will offer a taste of the music of Bengal and Bangladesh with the 10-member folklore ensemble Ochin Pakhi. The performance will take place at Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center on Sunday, May 15 at 3 p.m.
EISMA is a nonprofit arts and education organization dedicated to inspiring students, supporting local musicians, and connecting community by presenting professional live music programs that bring the joy and appreciation of diverse musical genres to all Evanston elementary and middle school students.
EISMA suspended its in-school performances during the current school year due to the pandemic, but the organization is hopeful for a return to the schools next year.
No registration for Saturday’s concert is required and everyone is welcome!
