More than 100 people crowded the Arrington Lagoon in Dawes Park to take part in the Chicago Full Moon Jam. The group – of fire performers and drummers – celebrates the full moon about six times a year. This is the first time the free spectacle has gathered in Evanston. “It’s become a tradition to come together on the full moon,” said organizer Devin Bean. “It’s an ancient tradition.” The moon and the lunar eclipse were not visible because of clouds and light rain.
