This weekend’s Umbrella Arts Festival celebrated the Asian, South Asian, Pacific Islander American community in Evanston. The festival featured performances by Mandala Arts, Flying Fairies, Nayon Troupe and a concert by Funkadesi.

If this year’s weather has shown us anything, it’s that the old saying “April showers bring May flowers” rings true. The rain has subsided (for now, at least) and the flowers (and dandelion seeds) are in full bloom.
