It was a long road to Cahn Auditorium for Andrea Adomako and her family. Adomako was hooded as a doctor in African American studies at the Black Congratulatory Ceremony for Northwestern’s Black graduates. Her parents – Faustina and John Adomako – flew from their home in Ghana for the event. Joining them is sister Andrea (a Ph.D .in psychology) and her son, Legend Adomako. “This is another moment of community and solidarity that shows what is possible,” said Andrea.
